“Your Home, Your Dreams”

Hello readers! My name is Daniel Edmunds – founder of Your Space Construction. In this post, I will be giving you a glimpse into my life and sharing my love for woodworking and construction

My love for carpentry began in 2002 where I worked alongside my father as a site carpenter. we would travel around the UK fitting out old cinemas into amazing nighttime entertainment centres.

I decided to start my own company when I knew that I could offer a bespoke service, tailored to all of our clients needs.

Our business name “Your Space Construction” is all about our clients home, there space, their castle. I wanted us to be personal and make our clients feel at ease knowing they were in safe hands.

Our tagline “Your Home, Your Dreams” is because we want to build you a dream home tailored to your needs and budget.

I am lucky to have worked as a carpenter in Australia and New Zealand where I experienced carpentry in a totally different light. Houses out there are built by timber frame.  I had the opportunity to build Passive house standard in NZ. As well as taking a boat to work on many occasions building holiday homes on remote island in the Marlborough sounds.

I returned to the UK in 2021 where I reignited Your Space Construction. At the time there was just myself and my now head foreman Luke. Along came Bill and now we are a strong team of carpenters alongside subcontractors that we regularly use on all of our projects in groundworks, electrics, plumbing, plastering, tiling and so much more, as well as our regular suppliers for materials, bathrooms, kitchens, windows – all working together with architects in the local area.

Since my return from New Zealand 2 years ago, we have completed 16 projects in the Southbourne, Bournemouth Christchurch and New Forest Areas.
